The Deep Eddy Story
Where It Began
A swimming hole in the river.
Before pools, before bars, before Austin as we know it, there was a deeper spot in the Colorado River. A large limestone boulder pushed the current just enough to slow the water, deepen it, and cool it.
People found it on their own. A calm pocket where you could swim, linger, and let the afternoon stretch. Locals gave it a name: Deep Eddy.
That single feature shaped everything that followed.

Shaped by nature first.

From a limestone boulder in the river, to a legendary resort, to a beloved cabaret. Deep Eddy has always meant the same thing.
Water as the anchor
The pool, the river, the current that started it all.
Nature as the setting
Hill Country land, live oaks, and open sky.
People as the point
Every detail exists to bring people closer together.
Deep Eddy Ranch isn't just a name. It's a continuation of one of Austin's oldest ideas: a place designed to slow the current and keep everyone together a little longer.
